Excerpt

Wood creaked to his left, and Troy stilled, lowering his feet down from the porch railing. The heavy shadow of the overhang would conceal his presence. Rand had made a point of telling him he shared the home to the right with his mate but hadn’t mentioned the occupant of the cottage on the opposite side. A pale reflection caught his eye, moonlight shining on light hair. The slender figure moving toward the woods paused and glanced in his direction. Bel.

He was out of his chair before realizing he’d moved; the thick railing around the porch was all that prevented him from striding across the open space toward her. Rain pattered against his skin, mixing with the sheen of sweat coating his chest. If she had turned away, kept moving without acknowledging him, he might not have acted. But he’d never know. Instead, she raised a hand to her throat, drawing his eye to the delicate line of her arm, the expanse of bare skin above the low neckline of her simple dress.

Bending his knees, Troy leaped onto the railing, balancing on his toes in a crouch. She turned her head, glanced toward the woods then back in his direction. The last vestiges of the mask of civility he wore slipped away, and he bared his teeth in a feral grin. Do it, he urged silently.

As though she heard his voiceless plea, Bel spun on her heel and made a break for the trees. Growling low in his throat, he sprang from the railing, hitting the ground at full speed. The clouds overhead burst open, turning the gentle patter of rain into a raging torrent, soaking him to the skin in moments. His feet slipped and slid in the long grass underfoot, but he didn’t slow his pace. Diving between a pair of thick trunks, he ducked beneath long curtains of Spanish moss and passed instantly into full darkness. The tangled canopy overhead masked the worst of the rain. Twigs snapped, warning her of his approach, marking her own desperate flight through the woods. Her scent hung thick in the humid air, a blanket of sunshine and sweetbriar.

A twisted root caught his ankle, sending him sprawling forward. Tucking his shoulder, he rolled with the motion, gaining his footing moments later at the base of a small incline. He stood in the bottom of a natural hollow, a clearing in the trees. Bel was less than twenty feet away, clutching the skirt of her dress high as she scrambled up the other side of the hollow.

“Stop,” he growled, forcing every ounce of command he possessed into the word.

She froze, one foot on the crest of the slope. He stalked across the clearing, watching her shoulders heave as she tried to catch her breath. He knew how she felt. Between the thick summer air and the lust coursing through his veins, he might never breathe normally again. The muscles in her calf twitched where her toes braced for purchase on the incline. He’d never spent much time considering the graceful shape of the back of a woman’s leg before. The curve of muscle narrowing to taper into the rigidity of an Achilles tendon, the pregnant swell of a smooth heel, the arch of her elegant instep.

Pausing at the base of the slight hill, he reached for her leg, traced the lean muscle of her calf. He slid his hand higher, watching it disappear beneath the damp hem of her dress. A soft gasp escaped her lips. Bending his head, he nibbled along the defined edge of her calf muscle, burying his lips into the dimple at the back of her knee.

“Troy!” His name on her lips sounded both a blessing and a curse.

#NewRelease - CONJUNCTION by @MerrynDexter #MM #ScifiRom

Once a pirate, always a pirate?
Cullen Rex, former space-pirate is now Head of Security on the transporter – Medusa. The captain of the Medusa will move anything (and anyone) if the price is right. Their latest mission is to deliver a passenger to the blighted planet of Elexon in time for the Conjunction.

Once a prince, always a prince?
Exiled ten years previously, Mycel Laast has hired one of the toughest crews in the nearby galaxy to get him home to Elexon. The Conjunction approaches, a time of myth and wonder for his people, and he longs to witness this once-in-a-decade event. At least that is what the crew of the Medusa believe…

The best kind of trouble
Getting involved with a stuck-up royal is the last thing Cullen wants, but it’s lust at first sight and their new passenger goes out of his way to make his interest clear.

What starts as a fling soon grows serious, but a relationship built on a foundation of secrets and constructed from lies is no relationship at all. Can Mycel trust his brutal, beautiful lover with the desperate truth about his mission home?

Excerpt

His feet ate up the distance. Two more turns, one more flight of stairs, and he could ignore the determined steps echoing in his wake. The “Danger! Toxic Materials” warning sign Davian had stuck on his door in jest shone brightly at the end of the corridor. Almost there.

“Cullan—”

With a roar of frustration, he spun on his heel and grabbed Mycel, pinning him against the wall beside his door. “Leave me the fuck alone!”

Sweat dampened Mycel’s chiseled features, his short blond hair lay every which way. He looked so different from the impeccable façade he presented to the world. He looked mussed up, a little grimy, and totally fuckable. His pupils dilated, eating into the icy-blue irises, but his voice remained steady and cool as he spoke. “If that’s what you really want?”

Cullan ground his teeth together so hard, he feared they’d shatter. Arrogant bastard. “I just told you so, didn’t I?”

“Fine. Message received.” Mycel wet his lower lip with the tip of his tongue and Cullan locked onto the tiny motion. “Cullan—”

“Hmm?” The dark pout of his lower lip glistened. An image came to mind. One he hadn’t thought of in years, one he’d cast aside with all the other unnecessary baggage. Dew glistening on the petals of a rose in his mother’s garden. He’d snuck out early to cut one for her, a birthday gift.

Elegant fingers curled around his nape, tangling in the thick strands of his hair. They tugged hard enough to sting, the perfect edge of pain to match the jagged rent in his heart torn open by the unexpected memory. “If you want me to leave, Cullan, you have to let me go.”

Awareness filled him on the heels of Mycel’s soft admonishment. The palms of Cullan’s hands rested on the other man’s hips; a more-perfect fit couldn’t have been sculpted by a master carver. Chest to chest, he’d leaned his full weight into the prince, trapping him against the wall. His cock pulsed and twitched in tandem with the answering thickness resting beside it. “I don’t want you,” he muttered.

Mycel smiled and yanked the fistful of hair he gripped at the base of his neck. “Liar.”

Cullan groaned. It had been too damn long since anyone had handled him with such surety. He liked to lead, to steer and direct his chosen bed-partners. This was new. Different. Dangerous. “I don’t want to want you,” he forced the confession past his lips.

“Better.” The mocking smile was too much to bear. Cullan wanted to knock it and the rest of Mycel’s sculpted features into next week. He wanted to kiss him until all that arrogance crumbled to whimpers of need and heat. He just fucking wanted.

“You’re playing with fire.” A final warning to them both. His hatred and disdain for the highborn man were no match for the desire heating his blood. Digging his thumbs into the perfect dip above Mycel’s hipbones, he tugged him closer though barely a breath separated them.

The icy lure of his eyes sank deeper into Cullan’s soul, as cold and all-consuming as deepest space. “Burn me up, Cullan.” Lips softer than those of any man he’d kissed fluttered over his, the delicate brush no more than a whisper of silk, and Cullan broke.

“Bring the file here and place it on my desk.” He settled more comfortably into his chair, steepled his fingers beneath his chin, and admired the sway of her lush hips. She placed the file down as instructed then folded her hands in front of her, eyes still averted. Schooling his need with an iron control, Daniel waited.
Her chest rose and fell, the slight hitch in her breath pressing her breasts against the thin silk of her blouse. The tip of her tongue peeked out, dampening her coral-pink lips, and a bolt of lust drove him from the chair. Ignoring Lou, he strode to the door and locked it. He doubted there were many people left in the building at that time of day on a Friday, but he wouldn’t risk anyone interrupting them.
Pacing back to the center of the room, he stopped to admire the hourglass lines of her figure. The heels looked even better from the back. Balancing on their slender points gave extra definition to her calf muscles.
“Do you know why I summoned you, Ms. Jones?”
Her breath seemed to catch in her throat. Her voice barely above a whisper, she said, “No, Mr. Smith.”
“You will call me Daniel.” The visceral need for her to know who was about to touch her surprised him. He wanted to hear his name on her lips as she sighed, moaned, and fell apart at his command. Her head bobbed in acquiescence, and he spoke again. “I summoned you because you canceled our appointment this evening.”
She half-turned, seemed to catch herself, and straightened to face the front again. A thrill of satisfaction curled in his gut. Each little act of submission from her proved sexy as hell. “Did you do as I requested?” he asked. Her skirt clung to her hips and ass with no hint of a panty line, but he couldn’t be sure.
“Yes,” she murmured.
A bolt of lust rocked him on his heels. He wanted to crawl on his hands and knees and fawn at her feet, but she had been very specific in her email—her fantasy required him to be the boss, to take control and dictate his desires upon her.
“Show me.” The rasp in his voice couldn’t be helped; his body tingled with anticipation. Her hands gripped the hem of her skirt and began to raise it, inch by tantalizing inch. The material cleared the back of her knees, gliding higher to reveal the lacy tops of her thigh-high stockings, the soft expanse of her tanned thighs.

#NewRelease The Black Hills Wolves WINTER SOLSTICE run is here! #Giveaway @tlreeve @decadentpub

As the snow falls, the pack gathers in Los Lobos. Secrets will be revealed and new love stories will be told. It's time to run with the Tao Pack once more.

Winter Fairy Tale by TL Reeve

Sayer Blackcrow, isn't looking for a mate or even contemplating settling down. So spending his evenings in Custer for a woman he doesn't want to like, but finds he can't resist, is the best thing for him. However, what he won't admit to anyone is that she is his mate. When Drew and Gee show up ten days before the Solstice and announce he must bring home his mate or face the wrath of his alpha, he does what he has to. Doesn't mean he likes. it. What's worse, Gee announces there's to be a scavenger hunt and he's to participate with Kizzy.

Kizzy Rhapsody, isn't sure what's going on. One minute she's living in Custer and the next she's in a town she had no idea existed. What she does know, is her friend has been keeping secrets and the man who brought her there isn't talking either. Though she enjoys being in Los Lobos, she can't stand the lies, or falling for a man who isn't willing to trust her. But, with the Winter Solstice festivities approaching, she agrees to give both a chance.

Fresh, local honey is their item.

With no bee hives on pack lands, Sayer and Kizzy must work together to find their object. When a chance phone call, takes them out of town for their item, Sayer realizes his quirky little human is more than meets the eye. With the solstice upon them, he finds himself willing to move heaven and earth to make these festivities the best time of her life.

And if he ends up mated to her? Well, there are worse things that could happen.

Stolen Kisses by Merryn Dexter

A woman looking for a connection
Following her grandmother’s death, Sadie Burrows-King leaves the only pack she’s ever known in search of family ties. Crashing into Los Lobos, literally, she finds herself face-to-face with a man who calls to the lonely wolf inside her.

A man on the fringes of society
Orphaned wolf, Easton Quaid, survived the cruel years of Magnum’s reign by the skin of his teeth and the kindness of others, of the pack, but not really part of it. His world turns upside down when a new wolf blows into town. It will take every ounce of patience to claim her as his mate.

Stolen kisses
Set a task in the scavenger hunt, Sadie and Easton must work together. Proximity and attraction lead to stolen kisses and more between the pair. The mating call is strong, but is it too much for her to handle?

Secrets and celebrations
A new family, a new pack, and the temptation of a new mate. Sadie had everything she ever dreamed of, right? As the Winter Solstice celebrations get into full swing, old secrets are revealed. Sadie faces the decision of her life. Is she a solid, reliable Burrows, or a flighty, untrustworthy King? It’s not only her heart at risk if she makes the wrong choice.

Winter Awakening by TL Reeve

Sarah Philips has come home after almost twelve years. Married to a man she planned on claiming as her own, and telling him about the babies she carried, she never got the chance. Now, the mother of twin, ten-year-old rambunctious boys, she knows what true happiness is along with the gut wrenching pain of loss.

Ero and Luc Mathews, the dark and light twins, are waiting for the one. For the last year women have come and gone from their life without that spark of recognition. When Sarah steps into Los Lobos Café looking for a job, the punch to Ero’s gut, shocks him to his core. But, he worries the connection won’t be there for his brother.

Love and Luc aren’t synonymous with each other. Where his brother is the ever optimist, he’s more incline to sit back and let everything play out. However, when he sees Sarah in the Convenience store, he can’t stop thinking about her. There’s something hidden within those amber-colored eyes of hers.

With the solstice upon them, Gee enlists their help in a little scavenger hunt of sorts. They have ten days to find their item and present it to him on the night of the festivities.

Having to work together keeps them in close quarters, and ignites a passion she hasn’t felt since before her husband died. But, with two children and a nosey mother always asking questions, it doesn’t leave time to consummate their budding mating. However, on the night of the solstice, both men will have what is rightfully theirs. The only question is; can her heart stand another chance at love?

Excerpt from Conjunction by Merryn Dexter

Mycel. Fucking. Laast. Cullan grunted, and the sweat pouring from his brow made his
eyes sting as he hauled all two-hundred pounds of his body up to the chin-high bar.
Mycel. Fucking. Laast. Grunt. Heave. Repeat. The three words pounded in his brain, a
constant litany of disappointment and rage. He should have known better than to let his
thoughts stray toward the too-pretty man. A handsome face he could have ignored, even
the sleekly muscled body he kept hidden beneath his expensively-cut clothing. His mind
flashed back to the ripple of tense muscles beneath his fingers in the tavern—the only
time he’d touched him and now likely the only time he ever would.

He couldn’t ignore the slow-building realization over the past week since their shuttle
docked back on the Medusa. He liked the man. Their close-knit crew had fallen hard and
fast for their passenger, with his easy charm and friendly, helpful ways. Each flicker of
those pale blue eyes over his face sent arrows of lust burning deep in Cullan’s belly.
Never one for casual conversation, he’d found himself going out of his way to drop some
dry observation just to hear the smooth cadence of Mycel’s laughter.

In the deep, dark, quiet of his room, Cullan wove little fantasies of what it would be
like to touch him again, to hear and feel that little hitch of breath as he dipped inside the
back of the other man’s waistband, the way it had back in that stinking pit of a tavern.
He didn’t know what had possessed Mycel to shed his Mister Lazarus persona and reveal
his true identity during dinner the previous evening, but Cullan hated him for it.

He’d spent hours researching Elexon from the moment Kyla received the job request.
Scanning old news-vids and trolling through the ship’s extensive archives and planetary
scans. Elexon was part of a progressive quadrant with access to the latest in tech and
communications, but the asshole ruling class ran it like the worst kind of feudal societies,
the kind of problem usually limited to outlier planets. Pavel Laast was the number one
alpha asshole on Elexon. His iron grip on the reins of power showed no signs of slipping,
even in the face of years of devastating drought. He was the kind of man who would let
his people starve rather than give them access to life-saving irrigation and cultivation
tech. And the man invading Cullan’s every waking thought was his son. Better to find out
now before you did something stupid.

Twenty more chin-ups and he was ready to move onto the infinity track. Sure, he had
access to clever machines that could tone and shape a body without effort, but Cullan
preferred the old-fashioned way of keeping fit. He liked to sweat. He pictured pale skin
sliding against his own darker, tanned flesh and bit back a groan. Not even worth a rage
fuck. Lifting a head-set from a cubby on the wall, he adjusted the wraparound screen and
headphones to fit snug around his head and stepped onto the wide track. “Scenario Four.
Playlist Two,” he said and the white walls of the fitness room faded as the screen in front
of his eyes flickered into life.

A Desperate Woman
Wiccan Haus is Raegan’s last hope for a miracle. Unable to produce an heir for her husband, she finds herself abandoned and penniless. Raised to be the perfect wife and mother, her failure has broken her spirit.

A Reviled Demon
Zamahl comes to Wiccan Haus seeking meditation and relief from the never-ending sexual urges of his incubus nature. Driven to seek their true mates, incubi are the ultimate one-night stand from which some females never recover. Shunned throughout the para realms, he doubts he will ever find a woman to satisfy the demon within.

A Forbidden Passion
When Raegan meets the copper-eyed stranger, a passion she never believed herself capable of awakens. Zamahl is horrified by his burning attraction to the timid little human. Humans, weak of mind and body, are to be avoided at all costs.

As the Summer Solstice celebrations continue, Raegan must decide what she really wants from life, and find the courage to claim it. She must overcome Zamahl’s doubts, the disapproval of one very unhappy were-tiger and the fickleness of Fate to find true happiness.

Excerpt

Concentrating on his dinner companions had been a test of his self-control and his self-congratulation at keeping his cool dissolved the moment he watched her slip from the room. Need had gnawed at his gut until Serena and Kaleb had excused themselves and he’d found himself on the patio. The threat of Rekkus pounding his head into a solid surface could not keep him away from this particular human.

Sitting close to her was an act of supreme masochism. The urge to gather her into his arms and carry her to his room crashed against his control as inexorably as the roll of the waves into the rocks below.

Ripe. Ready. Mine for the taking.

He shuddered, grabbing the wicker frame above him in such a hard grip the wood groaned beneath his hands. She was a contradiction; a puzzle. Her shy demeanor and hesitant questions at odds with her throaty plea from their earlier encounter.

Touch me...

Lord and Lady, now she talked about the hot springs. Images of her sliding into a steaming pool, pale skin shining in the moonlight, flooded his brain and he moaned aloud.

“Are you alright?” Her breathy voice sounded too close for comfort and he peered beneath his raised biceps to see her perched on the edge of her seat, leaning toward him. The angle provided a revealing glimpse of the tops of her lush breasts and the wood beneath his hands cracked.

“Who’s Marshall?” Husband? Lover? Tell me you are involved, and I’ll find some way to leave you alone.

She sucked in a shaky breath, fingers balling around the handkerchief clutched in her hands. Her expression clouded for a few long moments before clearing and he watched in fascination as she smoothed the material over her knees and folded it into a neat square. Shoulders braced, she stared him straight in the eye. “Marshall is the past.”

The demon screamed in exultation and Sam cursed himself for asking the question. “Go to bed, little mouse.” He growled.

Confusion furrowed her brow. “Excuse me?”

“You need to go away and leave me alone.”
